Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Saints.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Saints did exactly that with Tyler Shough in the Round 4 slot. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Brooks at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In No. 9 they get a lead back with juice at fair value. A real need, handled.

Tyleik Williams in the 40th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

The board had Emery Jones Jr. higher than the 131st overall pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
