Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Quinshon Judkins, the No. 86 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 180.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
