When a board-topper like Elic Ayomanor slides to the 153rd overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Giants did not.

They will need Jones Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
