The steal of the weekend belongs to the Rams and Golday: B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jake Golday, the No. 60 name on the board, stolen at the Round 3 slot. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

With wide receiver, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In the 13th overall pick they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at fair value. Need was not the driver here.

A surprising call. With wide receiver, running back and other spots still to address, they spent slot 29 on Sonny Styles, a linebacker they were not short of.
