The Commanders torched the value chart for Malik Verdon, taking him 74 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
