Larceny in pick No. 223 lands the Commanders a A, Singer and all.

The Commanders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Dorian Singer, the No. 176 name on the board, in the 223rd pick. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If Pearsall pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Amarius Mims and all.
