The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Ryan Fitzgerald fell into Round 7, Pick 22. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it.

If Dellinger pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Adding Myles Garrett by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
