You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cowboys did exactly that with Donovan Smith in No. 232. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. The Hunter pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
