The Cowboys checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Cowboys started one anyway for Jasheen Davis, 130 picks ahead of schedule. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Getting Mondon Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
