The tape said wait; the Seahawks did not. Taulia Tagovailoa went at the 235th pick, a good 53 picks before the board was ready.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Whatever Michael Penix Jr. becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Landing Polk that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
