Nobody dealt better than the Commanders this weekend: A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Commanders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

They are betting Wiley proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Solomon pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and quarterback still on the board. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Newton.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Olumuyiwa Fashanu and all.

In pick No. 8 they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
