FutureB-
The Bears fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bears did exactly that with Trey Moore in the Round 6 slot. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
On value alone, Harvey makes the weekend a net positive. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick39
Rnd2
Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton at the 39th overall pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick45
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
Fair-plus on Tyler Booker, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick49
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
A tidy bit of business in the 49th pick, where Tyleik Williams graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick51
Rnd2
Aireontae Ersery
They did well to land Aireontae Ersery in pick No. 51, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick72
Rnd3
Demetrius Knight Jr.
They let Demetrius Knight Jr. come to them and pounced at Round 3, Pick 8. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick81
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo at the Round 3 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick85
Rnd3
Tate Ratledge
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tate Ratledge at the Round 3 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick149
Rnd5
Lathan Ransom
The board fumbled Lathan Ransom all the way to the 149th pick, and they scooped it up. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick197
Rnd6
Kurtis Rourke
They robbed the room for Kurtis Rourke here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
Pick210
Rnd6
Trey Moore
A real head-scratcher, Trey Moore in the 210th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick234
Rnd7
CJ West
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and CJ West at slot 234 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick235
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Trey Zuhn III in pick No. 235, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick242
Rnd7
RJ Harvey
RJ Harvey at Round 7, Pick 24 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
