Nobody else had Germie Bernard anywhere near Round 7, Pick 10. The Lions did, by 72 spots, and that gap is the whole story. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

However the rest shakes out, Carter at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
