Best value of the weekend goes to the Bears for Jenkins: B+. Somebody in the 103rd overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Kris Jenkins, the No. 50 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. With running back, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The cost of the Milton III reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
