Best value of the weekend goes to the Browns for Knight Jr.: B+. Call it larceny. Demetrius Knight Jr. sat on the board until pick No. 198, and the Browns did not need to be asked twice.
Every board in the league had Shand lower, and that gap is the story. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. They went 9 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
