Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesB+ FutureA
The Packers let Muhammad III fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

When a board-topper like Moose Muhammad III slides to the 232nd pick, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

Every board in the league had McClellan lower, and that gap is the story. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
In pick 24 they get an island corner, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick39 Rnd2 Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at pick No. 39 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick43 Rnd2 Adonai Mitchell
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Adonai Mitchell at No. 43. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick75 Rnd3 Byron Murphy II
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Byron Murphy II at the 75th pick is the proof. It fills a real need, too.
Pick88 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
A clean, defensible pick in slot 88 with a little surplus value in TreVeyon Henderson. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick89 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
By-the-book stuff, Christian Haynes at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick111 Rnd4 Blake Fisher
They paid sticker price for Blake Fisher in Round 4, Pick 11, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick125 Rnd4 Tommy Eichenberg
A quiet steal in the 125th overall pick: Tommy Eichenberg for less than the market said. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick135 Rnd4 Jordan Travis
No drama and no debate, Jordan Travis went about where he belonged in the 135th pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick175 Rnd5 Lathan Ransom
Lathan Ransom in pick 175 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson at Round 6, Pick 14 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick217 Rnd6 Marques Cox
Marques Cox in No. 217 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick219 Rnd6 Jase McClellan
Jase McClellan at the 219th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick232 Rnd7 Moose Muhammad III
The board fumbled Moose Muhammad III all the way to slot 232, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
