A sensible, unshowy class lands the 49ers a B.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Gracen Halton at Round 4, Pick 35 is 61 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

However the rest shakes out, Lew at that price is a win they earned. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
