The Bears left with their quarterback, and a D- to match.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent the 111th pick on Braelon Allen, a name most had 48 spots down the list.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Julian Blackmon pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
