There is reaching, and then there is Damien Martinez at Round 3, Pick 22. The Bears jumped the board by 76 and dared it to prove them wrong. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Winston Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
