Nobody else had Drew Allar anywhere near the 102nd overall pick. The Lions did, by 41 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They banked enough surplus on Slaughter to cover a lot of smaller sins. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
