The Browns left with their quarterback, and a B to match. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Browns did exactly that with Micah Morris in slot 246. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Everything downstream of Ty Simpson depends on Ty Simpson, and the building knows it. The McKinney value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
