Big Kowl DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Browns: B-. For all the boxes ticked, the Browns skipped the loudest one: quarterback is exactly as bare as it was. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
That Tyson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Every board in the league had Alexander lower, and that gap is the story. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
They paid sticker price for Spencer Fano in the Round 1 slot, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick27
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a weapon on the perimeter, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick40
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
A tidy little value on Jake Slaughter in No. 40, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick71
Rnd3
Germie Bernard
A tidy bit of business in pick 71, where Germie Bernard graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick106
Rnd4
Omar Cooper Jr.
The board had Omar Cooper Jr. higher than pick No. 106, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick141
Rnd5
Blake Miller
Blake Miller at slot 141 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick145
Rnd5
Jyaire Hill
Jyaire Hill at the 145th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick158
Rnd5
Hollywood Smothers
No edge and no loss on Hollywood Smothers in the 158th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick204
Rnd6
Rasheem Biles
By-the-book stuff, Rasheem Biles at the 204th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick215
Rnd6
DJ Harvey
DJ Harvey in Round 6, Pick 35 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick244
Rnd7
Bear Alexander
They paid up for Bear Alexander at pick No. 244 when waiting would have done the job. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
