Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the 49ers.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The 49ers walked out of the weekend still thin at interior defensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

They will need Gore Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Corum pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

In pick No. 31 they get a true top target, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick63 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kingsley Suamataia. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

Blake Corum slid further than he should have, and pick 94 is lovely value for the running back. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
