Nobody had David Ugwoegbu this high, and it is not close. The Bears reached 79 spots to get him at pick 251.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
