Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Steelers.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Steelers reached some 40 spots for Bear Alexander, and value like that does not grow back.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Jagusah pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher and tight end. The Mateer pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In pick 16 they get a true top target. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick47 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
No drama and no debate, Olaivavega Ioane went about where he belonged in the 47th overall pick. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick77 Rnd3 A.J. Harris
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and A.J. Harris at Round 3, Pick 13 is the proof. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick78 Rnd3 John Mateer
Somehow John Mateer was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

They paid a round early for Kaytron Allen in slot 99, more than the board wanted. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
