Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesC+ FutureB-
The Buccaneers let Trice fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Bralen Trice tumbling to the Buccaneers in the 51st overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Green to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Keon Coleman
In slot 19 they get a go-to option on the outside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick51 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
Bralen Trice in Round 2, Pick 19 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick110 Rnd4 Kris Abrams-Draine
They liked Kris Abrams-Draine enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 110. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick119 Rnd4 Tommy Eichenberg
No edge and no loss on Tommy Eichenberg in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick127 Rnd4 Isaiah Adams
Nothing to complain about; Isaiah Adams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick186 Rnd6 Jalen Green
They reached a country mile for Jalen Green at the 186th pick, and the board is aghast. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick197 Rnd6 Tanor Bortolini
A reach for Tanor Bortolini in No. 197; a little patience would have been rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick220 Rnd6 Brevyn Spann-Ford
Good price on Brevyn Spann-Ford in pick No. 220, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick240 Rnd7 Carson Steele
They jumped the gun on Carson Steele, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
