The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

The Proctor pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They will need Nugent to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
