Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The 49ers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

Howard at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They are betting Wilson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
