You can draft well and still miss the point. The Broncos did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to interior defensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Adding Blake Brandel by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
