Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D+
ValueB+ NeedB TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Seahawks to a D+.

Some picks age like wine; Noah Thomas at pick 238 will need to, sitting 100 spots clear of his grade. Put together, it is a D+.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Lawson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Jahdae Barron
In the 25th pick they get a ballhawk on the outside, outstanding value to boot.
Pick54 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
You do not let a linebacker like Jalon Walker reach No. 54 and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick55 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell in the Round 2 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick85 Rnd3 Gunnar Helm
Nice patience on Gunnar Helm, who had no business lasting to pick No. 85. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick89 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins in Round 3, Pick 25 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jake Majors
Somehow Jake Majors was still sitting there in pick 126, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick136 Rnd4 Deontae Lawson
They barely believed it either: Deontae Lawson still on the board at the Round 4 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jake Slaughter
They did well to land Jake Slaughter in slot 173, just ahead of his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick185 Rnd6 Addison West
Addison West in Round 6, Pick 10 is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick238 Rnd7 Noah Thomas
A real head-scratcher, Noah Thomas in the 238th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
