The Bengals won the night they stopped Mondon Jr. from sliding. Grade: B.

Somebody in Round 5, Pick 35 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bengals sat still while Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 111 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Every board in the league had Henderson lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
