The Saints bet the future on Simpson. The board says C. The rest of the league had time to spare on Dominic Zvada; the Saints did not wait, grabbing him 137 spots ahead at slot 146. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.
So much rides on Ty Simpson that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The Fifita pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
Hit on Ty Simpson and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
