Draft Grade — Patriots
Overall
B
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
Maye is the Patriots' new face under center. Grade: B. Start where it matters. The Patriots took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. The bottom line is a respectable B.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Suamataia. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Drake Maye
In pick 3 they get a long-term answer under center. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Brian Thomas Jr.
Brian Thomas Jr. in pick No. 34 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick68
Rnd3
Kingsley Suamataia
A tidy bit of business in the 68th pick, where Kingsley Suamataia graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
