hf15 DRAFTING FOR THEPackers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

Good, not great, for the Packers: B-. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick No. 92 on Jaheim Bell, a name the board had a full 49 spots lower.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. That Proctor pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Xavier Legette
A straight-up fair deal on Xavier Legette at the Round 1 slot, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick41
Rnd2
Tyler Guyton
Tyler Guyton at No. 41 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick57
Rnd2
Blake Corum
They talked themselves into Blake Corum at Round 2, Pick 25, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick88
Rnd3
Mike Sainristil
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Mike Sainristil. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick92
Rnd3
Jaheim Bell
Jaheim Bell at slot 92 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick125
Rnd4
Justin Eboigbe
No drama and no debate, Justin Eboigbe went about where he belonged in pick No. 125. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick135
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
They took Cedric Gray at par in slot 135, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick203
Rnd6
Ethan Driskell
They paid sticker price for Ethan Driskell in pick No. 203, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick217
Rnd6
Christian Jones
They did well to land Christian Jones in the 217th pick, just ahead of his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick219
Rnd6
Josh Proctor
Josh Proctor at the 219th overall pick is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick246
Rnd7
Daequan Hardy
Daequan Hardy in the Round 7 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
