A solid, sensible weekend for the Cowboys: B. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Thor Griffith at pick 171 is 111 spots clear of where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
However the rest shakes out, Mondon Jr. at that price is a win they earned. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
