The Vikings turned the phones into found money: B. Whoever sat across the table from the Vikings should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
Gabriel falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Reaching for Bech left real value on the table behind him.
The Justin Herbert pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick55
Rnd2
Jack Bech
A premium they did not need to pay, Jack Bech a notch or two before his time. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick97
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at Round 3, Pick 33 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick139
Rnd5
Dillon Gabriel
A tidy bit of business in No. 139, where Dillon Gabriel graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
