BarnOwl1952 DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns

Draft Grade — Browns

FutureA
The Browns cashed the board's mistake on Walker: C+. The phones were a trap the Browns kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.
However the rest shakes out, Walker at that price is a win they earned. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Armand Membou
In pick No. 12 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick33
Rnd2
Jaxson Dart
They went early on Jaxson Dart in No. 33, and the value did not follow. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick44
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
They will replay Jalon Walker at the 44th pick for years; that is how good the value is. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick67
Rnd3
Azareye'h Thomas
A quiet steal in the Round 3 slot: Azareye'h Thomas for less than the market said. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick76
Rnd3
Quinshon Judkins
A tidy bit of business in pick 76, where Quinshon Judkins graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick94
Rnd3
Tai Felton
Tai Felton at slot 94 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick104
Rnd4
Andrew Mukuba
You do not let a safety like Andrew Mukuba reach slot 104 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick179
Rnd6
Chase Lundt
Chase Lundt in pick 179 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick192
Rnd6
JJ Pegues
A tidy little value on JJ Pegues in Round 6, Pick 16, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick200
Rnd6
Jarquez Hunter
Jarquez Hunter is a better player than the 200th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick216
Rnd6
Luke Lachey
Luke Lachey at the Round 6 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
Pick255
Rnd7
Hayden Conner
They liked Hayden Conner enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 255. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
