Viliamu-Asa should have been long gone. The Cowboys pounced, and earned a C. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, the No. 14 name on the board, stolen at the 46th pick. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
So much rides on Leonard Moore that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Leonard Moore
A reasonable price with a little left over, Leonard Moore in pick 21. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick46
Rnd2
Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa
Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa at No. 46 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick105
Rnd4
Isaac Brown
Isaac Brown in the 105th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick119
Rnd4
Anthony Evans III
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Anthony Evans III. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
