You can hear the double-takes from here. The Packers took Eric Watts at the Round 4 slot, roughly 54 spots before his name belonged. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Williams falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
