Warren1 DRAFTING FOR THERams

Draft Grade — Rams
Overall

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Rams. Every other box got a look, but safety did not. The Rams will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Reaching for Birchmeier left real value on the table behind him. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick93
Rnd3
Nick Marsh
Nick Marsh in the 93rd pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick167
Rnd5
Mark Nabou Jr.
Mark Nabou Jr. at the 167th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick205
Rnd6
Alex Birchmeier
The board had cheaper options than Alex Birchmeier at pick No. 205, and it noticed. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick208
Rnd6
Elliot Washington II
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Elliot Washington II. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick232
Rnd7
Johntay Cook
A clean, defensible pick in pick 232 with a little surplus value in Johntay Cook. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick250
Rnd7
Tunmise Adeleye
They paid up for Tunmise Adeleye at the Round 7 slot when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
