The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Cardinals reached some 209 spots for Kedon Slovis, and value like that does not grow back. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Jones falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
