When a board-topper like Wyatt Milum slides to the 189th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not.

They will need Sanders to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The whole projection now runs through Shedeur Sanders; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
