Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureB
The Seahawks won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Seahawks did exactly that with Darius Robinson in pick 81. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They banked enough surplus on Bishop to cover a lot of smaller sins. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Troy Fautanu
In the 26th overall pick they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick56
Rnd2
Graham Barton
Good price on Graham Barton in Round 2, Pick 24, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick78
Rnd3
McKinnley Jackson
They liked McKinnley Jackson enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 78. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick81
Rnd3
Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson at slot 81 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick89
Rnd3
Michael Hall Jr.
Michael Hall Jr. in No. 89 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick119
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
They paid a round early for Cedric Gray in pick No. 119, more than the board wanted. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick151
Rnd5
Cole Bishop
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Cole Bishop in slot 151, plain and simple. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick194
Rnd6
AJ Barner
AJ Barner at the 194th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick233
Rnd7
Jack Westover
They reached a country mile for Jack Westover at the 233rd pick, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
