Draft Grade — Seahawks

The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Loveland: B. The rest of the league will want that one back. Colston Loveland tumbling to the Seahawks in pick 50 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Webb has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Shemar Stewart
In pick No. 18 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Colston Loveland
They will replay Colston Loveland at pick 50 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick52
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
They paid a round early for Donovan Jackson in slot 52, more than the board wanted. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82
Rnd3
Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins slid further than he should have, and No. 82 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick92
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
A tidy bit of business in the 92nd overall pick, where Andrew Mukuba graded well above the range. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick137
Rnd4
Riley Leonard
They did well to land Riley Leonard in the 137th pick, just ahead of his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172
Rnd5
Clay Webb
Clay Webb in Round 5, Pick 34 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick175
Rnd5
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick223
Rnd7
Phil Mafah
No drama and no debate, Phil Mafah went about where he belonged in pick No. 223. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Jamon Dumas-Johnson at pick 234 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
