Boards are made to be trusted, and the Dolphins shredded theirs for Haynes King. He came off 71 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Spending an early pick on safety with edge rusher and running back open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Campbell falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
