A franchise passer in McCarthy headlines a F weekend for the Chargers.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Chargers shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Reaching for Barner left real value on the table behind him. J.J. McCarthy gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

The Ulofoshio pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
