The Seahawks let Giddens fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Seahawks watched DJ Giddens slide 64 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Grey Zabel and all.
