The Chargers let Miller fall into their laps, and walked away with a D-. The Chargers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Omarion Miller, the No. 59 name on the board, in slot 256. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. The veteran additions, Will Anderson Jr. chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
