For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Packers walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Reaching for Jackson left real value on the table behind him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
