The Lions looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Chico Bennett Jr. at Round 7, Pick 31 regardless, 40 picks early. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The Hopper steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
